The website

Accessibility

Riviera Romagnola is built to be accessible to as many people as possible, including using only a keyboard, a screen reader or browser zoom. The reference standard is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA. The assessment is an editorial self-assessment carried out in October 2026, rather than a certification.

How the website is built

Each page declares the language it is written in and has a single main heading, with section headings in order. The first element reached with the Tab key is the “Skip to content” link. The menu can be opened and closed using the keyboard, including the Esc key, and the active element always has a clearly visible border.

Text links are underlined as well as coloured, and text colours have adequate contrast against the background. Images have alternative text describing what they show. Tables have row and column headings and, on phones, scroll horizontally within the page.

The website allows zooming and respects the system's reduced-motion setting. No content moves by itself: the homepage weather forecast changes resort only through the buttons.

Known limitations

Some labels above headings and photo credits use small text, at 12.5 pixels. Some photographs from the old website's archive have shorter descriptions than newer ones. Weather forecasts depend on an external service and do not appear if it fails to respond. Site search requires JavaScript to be enabled. External websites linked from the pages, such as those of municipalities, museums and parks, are outside the editorial team's control.

Reporting a problem

Anyone encountering a barrier can write to info@rivieraromagnola.net, giving the page address and describing the problem. Reports help correct the pages.
