The Riviera's squares, theatres and circuit

Entertainment on the Riviera Romagnola

Entertainment on the Riviera Romagnola ranges from seaside squares with free concerts to municipal theatres with seasons running from October to April and seasonal attractions, from observation wheels to the Misano circuit. The squares around Cesenatico's harbour, central Milano Marittima and Rimini's theatres offer different evenings, including outside summer.

Evenings and their rules

Each Comune regulates evening music and the use of glass containers through different measures: Rimini has noise regulations and a 2005 ordinance, Riccione a mayoral measure each spring, Cervia and Milano Marittima 2026 regulations (resolution of 31 March, amended on 7 May), and Cesenatico an annual noise ordinance. Rules, evening areas and night-time return transport are covered on the nightlife pages: nightclubs in Rimini, nightclubs in Riccione, nightclubs in Cesenatico and nightclubs in Milano Marittima; national rules apply everywhere, with alcohol service in venues suspended from 3am to 6am.

Gabicce Mare and Misano Adriatico have no municipal theatre. Open-air cinema was less frequent in 2026: Corte degli Agostiniani in Rimini from 13 June to 26 August; Cinema nel parco at Olivetani in Riccione from 16 July to 3 September, with 46 screenings; three evenings at Parco della Pace in Cattolica on 27 July, 3 and 10 August; Mondays and Thursdays in July in Cervia; and Wednesdays and Thursdays in summer in Bellaria Igea Marina. In Cesenatico, beach film programmes were run by beach establishments.

Attractions, observation wheels and sport

Observation wheels are seasonal: in Rimini, the observation wheel stood in Piazzale Boscovich from mid-May to mid-September in the 2024 to 2026 seasons; in Riccione, it operates in winter in Piazzale Roma, under a concession until 2027; in Bellaria Igea Marina, it stood by the canal harbour in 2026. The Via Vespucci funfair in Riccione operates in summer; in Bellaria Igea Marina, on Via Saraceni, it was open from 20 June to 23 August 2026. Parks with individual guides are Italia in Miniatura, Fiabilandia, Aquafan, Oltremare, Acquario di Cattolica and Mirabilandia, which is in the Comune di Ravenna; their seasons are listed on the Riviera with children page.

Misano World Circuit is the driving force of spectator sport, with Superbike from 12 to 14 June 2026 and MotoGP from 11 to 13 September; in 2027, MotoGP is scheduled for 10 to 12 September and Superbike, on the provisional calendar, for 18 to 20 June. Riccione's Playhall hosts international competitions in autumn, while Nove Colli in Cesenatico has been announced for 23 May 2027 and Challenge Cesenatico 100 for 16 May. The Circuit Tour guide covers visits to the circuit.

Things to do outside summer

From October to April, evenings move into theatres and historic centres. The main cold-season events return at the same time each year.
