Museums in Bellaria Igea Marina

Museo della Radio d'Epoca

Museo della Radio d'Epoca, called Collezione Radio d'Epoca by Comune di Bellaria Igea Marina, occupies rooms in Bellaria railway station at 5 Piazzale Antonio Gramsci. It displays radios and gramophones from the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s, collected and restored over time.

The sets in the collection

The Comune lists 140 radios, mainly from 1930 to 1935. Among the rarest pieces, it cites a rural radio from 1923, a 1929 set, a 1930 set and gramophones from 1940.

Wooden cabinets, decorated loudspeakers and tuning scales show how listening devices were made before portable sets.

Location and visiting times

The collection is in the Bellaria station building, near Isola dei Platani. The ground floor has no architectural barriers.

In summer 2026, the collection opened every evening except Mondays, from 9pm to 11pm. The Comune publishes no calendar for other periods; its Collezione Radio d'Epoca listing provides phone numbers and email addresses for information.

Casa Rossa di Panzini is another town museum, devoted to the writer. An overview of other stops is in the Bellaria Igea Marina guide.
