Hotels in Bellaria Igea Marina

The Uso canal harbour separates Bellaria to the north from Igea Marina to the south. When choosing a hotel in Bellaria Igea Marina, what matters is the stretch of coast, the most convenient station and the services offered. The Isola dei Platani pedestrian centre and Parco del Gelso are landmarks in two different areas.

Bellaria, Igea Marina and Cagnona

In Bellaria, the station opens onto Piazzale Gramsci, near the start of Isola dei Platani. The centre follows Viale Paolo Guidi; Cagnona extends north towards Casa Rossa di Alfredo Panzini. Igea Marina begins south of the harbour, with Viale Pinzon by the sea and Parco del Gelso further inland.

Further south lies the former holiday colony area, between Via Agedabia and Via Murri. Bordonchio is in the hinterland, away from the coast: when choosing an area, the address matters more than the name of the Comune.

Both stations, Bellaria and Igea Marina, are on the Rimini-Ravenna line. For a seaside stay, the Bellaria Igea Marina beach page describes the coast's layout and access points.

Mainly seasonal accommodation

Regione Emilia-Romagna records 333 hotels and 10 apartment hotels in 2025: 343 establishments and 21,850 beds. Three-star hotels number 249, the largest category.

4-star and 4-star superior hotels161,328

There are 329 establishments classified as seasonal and only 14 open all year: for an autumn or winter stay, each property's opening calendar matters.

Seaside stays and stays during events

In the 2025 regional figures, June to September accounts for about 89% of overnight stays across all municipal accommodation establishments. The calendar also offers events in other months, from the Sant'Apollonia festival to the Bellaria Film Festival.

Sbarco dei Saraceni and Festa della Piadina take place in different parts of town. The Bellaria Igea Marina events page brings programmes together: for a stay, the distance from each event venue matters.

Train, buses and arrival by car

Start Romagna route 4 links Bellaria Igea Marina with Viserba and Rimini station, with different summer and winter timetables. The tourist train is a summer service: in 2026, it ran until 30 September.

For a hotel near Isola dei Platani, the pedestrian section and the road available for unloading luggage need consideration. Parking may be on site, in a separate area or not included: this is distinct from being able to drive up to the entrance.

Tax and stay conditions

In Bellaria Igea Marina, tourist tax applies from 1 June to 30 September, for up to six consecutive nights. For hotels, it ranges from €1 to €2.50 per person per night depending on category, at rates in force since 1 January 2025; under-18s are exempt. Regulations and forms are on the dedicated Comune office page.

For a holiday with children, beaches and activities are described on the children in Bellaria Igea Marina page; extra beds and meals depend on the hotel's offer. What full board, half board and all inclusive packages include should be compared in detail. For accessibility, the guide to hotels for people with disabilities helps distinguish routes, bedroom and bathroom. Other resorts are covered in the overview of hotels on the Riviera.
