Rimini's observation wheel stands in Piazzale Boscovich, on the eastern pier of the canal harbour. It is 55 metres tall, and the cabins offer views down over the canal, Marina Centro beaches and the coastline.
Cabins and views
According to the operator, the wheel was built in 2009, has 28 semi-enclosed cabins and carries 168 people at full capacity. The ascent reveals the harbour and Marina Centro area; from the top, the view extends across the Riviera and hinterland landscape.
When the wheel is there
The wheel is a travelling fairground attraction, and the Comune permits it at the harbour only in spring and summer. In its public notice of 29 November 2023, Comune di Rimini allocated the site for three seasons, from 2024 to 2026, with the wheel present from mid-May to mid-September each year. That concession ended with the 2026 season, and the Comune has not yet published a new notice for 2027.
Times and tickets are on the observation wheel's website.
A walk along the pier
The area is reached from Lungomare Tintori on a walk around the harbour. Nearby are Rivergreen Golf and the free beach at Piazzale Boscovich. Other coastal routes are covered on the pages about Rimini's free beaches and entertainment in the city.
