Milano Marittima

Nightclubs and nightlife in Milano Marittima

Nightlife in Milano Marittima is concentrated in the centre, around Rotonda Primo Maggio and along Viale Gramsci, the pedestrian street of shops, bars and restaurants. Comune di Cervia calls it the “heart of nightlife”, and music regulations place it in Zona A, among areas with a “particular vocation” for entertainment. At central venues, music stops by midnight; on Notte Rosa nights, 10 and 15 August, it continues until 3am.

Around the Rotonda

Central streets radiate from Rotonda Primo Maggio, with its illuminated fountain. Viale Gramsci is the street for walking among shops, aperitifs and dinner; in summer, Viale Milano between the Rotonda and Viale Romagna effectively becomes pedestrian-only in the evening, because the restricted traffic zone admits only emergency vehicles: daily from 29 May to 6 September in 2026, from 7pm to 3am.

Free evening events in the square take place at the Rotonda: these include Milano Marittima Festi Jazz, which reached its sixth edition in 2026, with four concerts between July and August on the Viale Gramsci side. Vialetto degli Artisti, along Canalino near Prima Traversa, adds exhibitions and crafts on summer evenings. Market days and venues are on the shopping in Milano Marittima page.

On the beach, music evenings take place at beach establishments on the days and at the times set by Comune regulations.

Music finishing times

The 2026 municipal music entertainment regulations set different hours by zone. In central Milano Marittima, venues with a sound level meter, the instrument measuring volume, can play music daily for a maximum of four hours, until midnight; those without a meter, two evenings a week until 11.30pm. Afterwards, volume must comply with noise classification limits.

At beach establishments, evening music runs from 8.30pm to midnight, two evenings a week with a sound level meter and only one, until 11.30pm, without. For Notte Rosa, 10 and 15 August, music can continue until 3am, or 3.30am with a meter. Volume cannot exceed 102 decibels throughout the Comune. Entertainers using microphones are allowed during the same hours: TAR di Bologna, in ruling no. 1284 of 2026, annulled the ban introduced by the regulations.

The full text and amendments are on the Comune music regulations page.

Rules on alcohol

During the summer season set by the regional bathing ordinance, Cervia's urban police regulations prohibit drinking alcohol in streets and public places: drinking is permitted only inside venues and their authorised outdoor areas. From 10pm to 6am, takeaway alcohol sales and carrying alcohol are also prohibited; from 9pm to 10pm, it can only be carried in closed, sealed packaging. For minors, the ban applies all day. Fines range from €50 to €500, with confiscation of drinks.

Codice della strada applies to drivers: a maximum of 0.5 grams of alcohol per litre, or zero for under-21s and those holding a category B licence for less than three years. By law, venues also stop selling alcohol from 3am to 6am, except on New Year's Eve and the night between 15 and 16 August, and those open after midnight have a breathalyser at the exit.

Cervia is part of the programme too

The canal harbour, Torre San Michele and historic centre belong to Cervia, across the canal harbour. Via Nazario Sauro, between the opening bridge and Ponte San Giorgio, is the music regulations' other Zona A.

For Notte Rosa and New Year's Eve, the Comune's main events are in Cervia: in 2026, Notte Rosa concerts were in Piazza Garibaldi, and on the evening of 19 June there was dancing at participating beach establishments. Periods and venues are in Milano Marittima events.

Cervia-Milano Marittima station is in Cervia, on the Rimini-Ravenna line: reaching the Rotonda requires a bus, taxi or walk. Services are in the Start Romagna timetables, and trains in Trenitalia's journey search. Metromare serves Rimini and Riccione and does not reach Milano Marittima.

In summer 2026, the Comune offered a free shuttle from the Centro Congressi park-and-ride car park on Via Jelenia Gora to Rotonda Corelli, from 2 June to 13 September: it ran only on Saturdays, Sundays and specified public holidays, every 20 minutes in the evening until midnight, or 1am in August.
