Hotels in Cervia

In the Comune di Cervia, the coastal resorts are Cervia, Milano Marittima, Pinarella and Tagliata. Choosing accommodation requires distinguishing the old town and harbour from seaside areas and the pinewood. Hotel figures cover all four resorts; Milano Marittima has its own guide to choosing an area.

Historic centre, harbour and coast

Cervia's historic centre and Magazzini del Sale are near the canal harbour. The beach continues south along the Cervia, Pinarella and Tagliata coast; the Pinarella and Tagliata pinewood separates part of the settlement from the beach.

The salt pans belong to a different, inland environment, described on the Cervia salt and salt pans page. Savio, Castiglione di Cervia, Cannuzzo and Pisignano are localities in the Comune's hinterland, away from the coast, even if the address includes Cervia.

For Milano Marittima north of the canal, the hotels in Milano Marittima information applies. Terme di Cervia is at 16 Via Forlanini, in the pinewood area. It has its own season: in 2026, from 4 May to 19 December.

Accommodation in the Comune in 2025

Istat counts 342 hotels with 27,902 beds, plus 20 apartment hotels. There are 362 hotel establishments in total, with 28,918 beds. The figures do not distinguish Cervia from Milano Marittima, Pinarella and Tagliata.

Three- and four-star hotels are the most numerous categories. Istat figures do not say which hotels stay open in winter: for those months, each property's opening calendar matters.

Beach and events across the resorts

Accommodation near Cervia beach is assessed in relation to beach access and any included beach services. Pinarella and Tagliata add the route through the pinewood; the old town and harbour have different walking landmarks.

Artevento takes place in Pinarella, Sapore di Sale involves Cervia, and other sporting events use several coastal sectors. The Cervia events calendar specifies each venue, which may be far from the resort where accommodation is located.

Station and hotel access

Cervia-Milano Marittima station, on the Rimini-Ravenna line, serves the area. Start Romagna route 201 connects the station with Milano Marittima, the Terme, Pinarella and Tagliata. In the winter 2026/27 timetable, from 2 November to 30 April, it runs only on weekdays.

The centre and other streets have restricted traffic zones or pedestrian areas. To reach a property in these areas, any permit and registration of the number plate must be arranged before entry, under the Comune access regulations. Permission to drive through and a parking space for the stay are two separate matters.

Seasonal tax and quotes

The 2026 Comune guidelines provide for tourist tax from 1 May to 30 September, for up to seven consecutive nights; no tax is paid from October to April, and children up to 14 years old are exempt. Category rates are set by delibera di Giunta n. 302 of 30 December 2025 and apply to the Comune's four resorts.

When comparing quotes, meals, drinks, beach use, parking and cancellation need distinguishing. The pages on half board, full board and all inclusive explain the packages; accessibility features are explored in hotels for people with disabilities. The guide to hotels on the Riviera covers other coastal destinations.
