Wellness in Riccione

Riccione Terme

Riccione Terme is the thermal spa at 4/16 Viale Torino in the southern part of town, facing the sea within a pinewood. The complex includes treatment, physiotherapy and rehabilitation departments and a wellness centre; all treatments use sulphurous water from its springs.

Waters and mud

The spa website refers to the four Beato Alessio springs and describes three: Isabella, Claudia-Riccione and Celestina, all sulphurous waters containing salt, bromine, iodine and magnesium, with different mineralisation. Claudia-Riccione rises directly within the complex and is used for respiratory treatments and mud.

Mud is prepared from clays extracted at the Tausano quarry in the municipality of San Leo and mixed with spring water; it then matures in tanks for about six months.

Treatment and wellness

Departments include thermal-water rehabilitation, the gym and physical therapies; the wellness area offers a thermal circuit and beauty treatments. The spa has agreements with the Servizio sanitario nazionale and INAIL.

Treatments under healthcare agreements require a doctor's prescription at booking; the course must be completed within 60 days of starting, during the current season. Mud-bathing therapy also requires an electrocardiogram no more than six months old, which can be performed at the spa. Booking is by telephone or email; times and conditions are on the Riccione Terme information and opening times page.

The thermal spa season runs from spring to late November: from 30 March to 28 November in 2026. The spa is a few minutes from Viale Ceccarini; other places in town are in the Riccione guide.
