Entertainment in Bellaria Igea Marina

An evening in Bellaria Igea Marina can start at Isola dei Platani, continue towards the canal harbour or centre on a show. In summer, Thursdays bring music to Borgata Vecchia, the Saracens land in late July and fireworks light up the harbour on 14 August. From autumn to spring, Cinema Teatro Astra is the reference point, with its theatre season.

Walking between the centre and the sea

Isola dei Platani is the landmark of central Bellaria. Pedestrian streets connect shops and places to pause, on a different route from the beach. Summer markets and evening markets are described on the shopping in Bellaria Igea Marina page.

In Igea Marina, Viale Pinzon runs along the seafront. The harbour at the mouth of the Uso separates and connects the two settlements and provides the setting for major summer events: fireworks, the Saraceni re-enactment and fish festivals.

Concerts, open-air cinema and festivals

Giro d'estate della Borgata Vecchia brings concerts and dance performances to Piazza Don Minzoni on Thursday evenings at 9.30pm, from late June to August. In 2026, the series organised by Comitato Borgata Vecchia reached its 34th edition.

The same committee organises Sbarco dei Saraceni in late July. The re-enactment begins at 9pm by the canal harbour on the Bellaria side, with historic boats; the costumed procession then crosses the seafront and Viale Paolo Guidi to Piazza Don Minzoni, where festivities continue. The 23rd edition took place on Friday 24 July 2026.

On 14 August at 11pm, the canal harbour hosts Fuochi di Ferragosto: a free fireworks display with music, held on the same day and at the same time in 2025 and 2026.

Open-air cinema is provided by BFF Open Air, the Bellaria Film Festival's summer screenings. In 2026 there were eight, on Thursdays at 9pm from 25 June to 20 August, at Cinema Apollo on Via Muggia, a short walk from the sea. In September, Festa della Piadina occupies Isola dei Platani; all the year's recurring events, month by month, are in Bellaria Igea Marina events.

An evening at the theatre or cinema

Cinema Teatro Astra, on Viale Paolo Guidi in Isola dei Platani, is the venue for the theatre season. The 2026-2027 season runs from 22 September 2026 to 4 April 2027; advance tickets are also sold online and at the Biblioteca comunale Alfredo Panzini ticket office on Wednesday and Friday mornings.

Astra also hosts Bellaria Film Festival, dedicated to Italian independent cinema since 1983: its 44th edition took place from 6 to 10 May 2026.

By day and with children

Parco del Gelso provides green space in Igea Marina. In central Bellaria, Torre Saracena connects a walk with coastal history; Casa Rossa di Alfredo Panzini offers a literary visit, while Museo della Radio d'Epoca, in the railway station, houses a municipal collection of radios and gramophones.
