Shopping in Bellaria Igea Marina

Wednesday is Bellaria market day; Friday is Igea Marina's. For shops, the two landmarks are Isola dei Platani and Viale Ennio. In Bellaria Igea Marina, markets and shopping walks are therefore spread between the two centres, with locations partly changing by season.

Where the market takes place

Bellaria market occupies the area near the town hall, between Via Don Milani, Via De Gasperi and Via Caduti per la Libertà. From May to September, it also extends towards Via Alicata and Via Pavese.

In Igea Marina, the Friday market changes location: from 15 May to 15 September, it is on Via Calatafimi, near the station; from 16 September to 14 May, on Piazza Falcone Borsellino. The dates apply each year, according to the municipal news item on the Igea Marina market.

Isola dei Platani is the pedestrian stretch of Viale Paolo Guidi between Piazzale Gramsci and Piazza Matteotti. Shops and businesses line the route starting from the Bellaria station area.

In Igea Marina, the main strolling axis is Viale Ennio, from the station towards the sea; Via Ovidio is another central landmark. These are two separate shopping walks; the choice depends on the part of town a visitor is in.

Summer markets

The summer programme spreads crafts, collectibles and food products between squares and streets. In summer 2026, they were on Via Mar Jonio and Piazza Matteotti on Tuesdays, Via Ovidio on Wednesdays, Via Italia on Thursdays, Piazza Matteotti on Fridays and Piazza Marcianò on Saturdays.

Via Perugia also hosted evening crafts, while Via Calatafimi had the Monday evening market. Each summer's days and streets are in the tourism portal's summer markets programme; the 2026 season ended in September.

Fairs and local products

The Fiera di Sant'Apollonia, in February, opens part of the town calendar. Spring markets, L'Isola dei Curiosi and the Festa della Piadina add other occasions for stalls and crafts: their periods are listed on the events in Bellaria Igea Marina page.

For producers' fruit and vegetables, the weekly stop is Sunday on Via Pascoli. For a walk between shops and other coastal markets, the shopping on the Riviera page compares days and resorts.
