Entertainment in Cattolica

An evening in Cattolica can centre on Teatro della Regina, a summer concert or a walk between Piazza Primo Maggio and the harbour. Summer Thursday evenings bring jazz to Piazzale Roosevelt; from November to April, the theatre season is the reference point. By day, the aquarium and Museo della Regina offer activities beyond the beach.

Teatro della Regina, Snaporaz and the summer arena

Teatro della Regina, the municipal theatre, is in Piazza della Repubblica. The 2026-2027 season, organised by the Comune with ATER Fondazione, has twenty performances in two spaces: at Teatro della Regina from 18 November 2026 to 13 April 2027, with plays, dance and five Sunday afternoons for families; at Salone Snaporaz, devoted to more experimental forms, from 26 November 2026.

In summer, the same Piazza della Repubblica hosts the outdoor Arena della Regina, with its paid summer concert programme: ten evenings from 17 July to 29 August in 2026.

Squares and harbour

Piazza Primo Maggio is a landmark for central walks, with its fountain and opening towards the sea. On summer Thursday evenings, Piazzale Roosevelt hosts Cattolica JaZzFeeling Festival, with free concerts from 9pm: six Thursdays in 2024, and six in 2026, from 16 July to 20 August.

The harbour offers a different setting, among quays and the landscape shared with Gabicce Mare. Dinner can be part of the route: the where to eat in Cattolica guide presents dishes and dining areas.

Shops and markets are covered on the shopping page.

Open-air cinema and family shows

Between late July and August, Parco della Pace hosts OUT!, the Comune's open-air cinema devoted to rights, inclusion and freedom: three free evenings at 9pm, reaching its fifth consecutive edition in 2026 (27 July, 3 and 10 August). In autumn 2026, the Comune renewed the park with new play equipment, including inclusive equipment, a bowls court, toilets and seventy benches.

Cattolica events help with choosing a particular event, while Cattolica with children distinguishes options by age.

The aquarium and cultural places

Acquario di Cattolica, on the seafront at the Misano Adriatico boundary, offers indoor exhibition routes, also suitable for a rainy day.

Museo della Regina, at 23 Via Pascoli, explores the town's archaeology and maritime history in two sections; admission to the collections is free.

Going beyond Cattolica

Gran Premio di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini takes place in September at the Misano Adriatico circuit, described in entertainment in Misano. Beyond the canal harbour, evenings in the square and the Gabicce Monte headland are covered in entertainment in Gabicce Mare.

Excursions from Cattolica help with choosing a destination beyond the sea. Entertainment on the Riviera completes the comparison of shows, parks and walks in neighbouring resorts.
