Misano Adriatico

Misano Adriatico with children

A holiday with children in Misano Adriatico can unfold between beach, seafront and Parco Mare Nord pinewood. Portoverde adds a walk around the marina; EcoVia del Conca leads inland. Square performances and library workshops complete the programme with events for different ages.

Beach and seafront walks

Misano Adriatico's coast extends around three kilometres from Rio Alberello at the Riccione boundary to the Conca mouth towards Cattolica. For a family, accommodation location also matters for daily travel: Misano Brasile, the centre and Portoverde are different points along the coast.

The municipal tourism portal describes a sandy beach with shallow waters and establishments offering play and entertainment, with activities varying between facilities and seasons.

The Misano Adriatico beach page gathers coastal information; the free beaches page distinguishes access for personal equipment. In the water, flags and lifeguard instructions apply.

After time on the sand, the day can continue by bicycle. EcoVia del Mare follows the seafront for around 3.5 kilometres from Portoverde to the Riccione boundary: a flat cycle path alongside a pavement for walkers, crossing Parco Mare Nord.

The Parco Mare Nord pinewood

Parco Mare Nord is on the northern seafront, behind the municipal beach. Maritime pines distinguish it from more exposed coastal walks and offer shade and picnic spaces during a seaside day.

In 2026, the Comune launched “A Mare”, a participatory process on the area's future, also discussing play areas, sport and accessibility.

Cycling towards the Conca

EcoVia del Conca starts from the Portoverde area and follows the river towards the hinterland. The municipal listing describes eight kilometres, mainly on unpaved packed earth, with forty metres of elevation gain. The full route totals sixteen kilometres out and back, far more than a short seafront outing.

The Comune also presents the route for families; with younger children, part of it can be followed before returning along the same way.

The excursions from Misano Adriatico page explores the EcoVie. The Colline route instead crosses dirt tracks, climbs and descents, more demanding for younger children.

Portoverde and circuit visits

Portoverde is a marina with waterfront buildings and pedestrian spaces. Boats and harbour activity offer a different subject from the beach for a walk.

Boat outings and guided Misano circuit visits are organised activities on set dates and by reservation; the visit listing gives the programme.

Library and family performances

The municipal library is at 7 Via Gioacchino Rossini and offers events for children and teenagers. In 2026, it offered free “Laboratori del lunedì” by reservation: one afternoon a month for ages six to ten. In early October 2026, the library also celebrated its twentieth anniversary with board games and a reading for children and families.

Piazza della Repubblica is a family performance venue. In summer 2026, it hosted “Scintille”, a circus and theatre programme; other events took place at Parco del Sole in Misano Brasile and Piazzale Colombo in Portoverde. The calendar is on the events in Misano Adriatico page.

A day in nearby resorts

For a visit outside Misano, Acquario di Cattolica offers routes devoted to animals; Riccione has Oltremare and the Aquafan water park, open only in summer. The three park listings give their calendars.

The Misano Adriatico guide helps place sea, centre and districts within the same holiday. The Riviera with children page compares activities in other resorts.
