Riccione

Shopping in Riccione

The Friday market brings stalls to Riccione Paese, between Piazza Unità, Viale Diaz and Corso Fratelli Cervi. For shops, Riccione has two other main areas: Viale Ceccarini with Viale Dante, and the Abissinia neighbourhood around San Martino and Gramsci.

Year-round and seasonal markets

The main market takes place on Fridays from 7am to 1pm. The Monday market, by contrast, has two successive locations: Piazzale Kennedy in summer, and Via Flaminia in San Lorenzo from the third Monday in September to the penultimate Monday in May.

From late September to May, the main Friday market and Monday market in San Lorenzo therefore remain. Municipal notices apply on public holidays.

On Tuesday mornings, farmers are at Parco Cicchetti, at the upper end of Viale Ceccarini, in Piazza La Masa. On Saturdays, they are in Fontanelle, in Piazza Fontanelle on Viale Sicilia. Both direct-sale markets run from 7am to 2pm.

Shopping streets

Viale Ceccarini links the station area with Piazzale Roma and the sea. Viale Dante continues the shopping walk northwards. In Paese, Corso Fratelli Cervi and Piazza Matteotti bring together village businesses and events.

In Abissinia, the main streets are Viale San Martino and Viale Gramsci; Viale Tasso adds another shopping stretch.

Building works until spring 2027

From 15 September 2026, works affect Viale Gramsci between Viale Ceccarini and Viale Corridoni, and the junction of Viale Ceccarini and Viale Dante; from October, they extend to Viale Ceccarini and the stretch of Viale Dante as far as Piazzale Ceccarini. The Comune expects to complete the entire route by spring 2027.

In Riccione Paese, works on Corso Fratelli Cervi, between Viale Sciesa and Viale Ruffini with Piazza Matteotti, began on 5 October 2026: they pause from 8 December to 6 January, with completion expected by February 2027, according to the Corso Fratelli Cervi works timetable.

Crafts, antiques and evening markets

La Piazzetta delle idee accompanies Friday mornings in Riccione Paese. Chi cerca trova is the market exhibition on the second Sunday of the month, excluding July and August, between Piazza Matteotti, Corso Fratelli Cervi and Viale Diaz.

The calendar expands in summer: in 2026, it included Alba markets, craft evenings in Viale Gramsci and the Paese children's market. Villa Lodi Fè hosts art, craft and design markets on selected dates; Giardini Montanari hosts stamp- and coin-collecting events.

On the weekend after Easter, the Festa del Beato Alessio, honouring the town's patron saint, brings markets and food stalls to Riccione Paese's squares and streets. Programmes for festivals and Christmas displays are listed under Riccione events; market days in other resorts are compared in shopping on the Riviera.
